Chez Lucien

Nice little hole in the wall. Beer was cold. Atmosphere was great. Food was awesome. I would say the food is as good or better than popular places in the deep of the market. Definately come here again.

Large portions that taste great. Reasonable prices. I had a Chez Lucien Burger and fries and salad for roughly $18 and it more than filled me up.

Service was really good. Evening started off on a sour note as there was quite a long wait for a table however the great service by the waitstaff most definitely made up for this early inconvenience. The food itself was good, above par for eats in Ottawa. Would recommend for a casual date night or casual outing in general

I can't wait for Chez Lucien to open again. I especially love finding fine comfort food at night after staying late to set up an exhibition. I dash up Murray street to make sure I catch the Frida & Diego burger and completely relax in their great atmosphere. Can't wait!

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service and food is not bad. Also, usually is opened late as well.When we visited this restaurant there was nice live guitarist performing, so that made the evening even better.Overall nice and cozy.

Don't let the entrance fool you... This place has lots of seating. Gets packed fast. Great food and drinks. Definitely worth a regular after work visit.

I wouldn’t call Chez Lucien hidden, because it’s always crowded. But it’s definitely cozy and unpretentious. Great for drinks and a bite after work. It sometimes gets a bit loud due to the stone interior. But overall has a great vibe.

It was during tulip festival, after a tiring walk around the city we saw this restaurant. Thank God we chose this restaurant; the entrees, main courses, drink were so good and delicious. Apart from the tasty food, I love there interior design. Also a special mention to service providers, they are so friendly. Do I recommend this place - YES!!!! Certainly.

Probably one of my top 5 restaurants. Never disappoints. Nothing fancy, just everything done right. I normally get their grilled salmon burger, served with dill cream cheese, along with a side of their skinny fries and refreshing home salad.

Amazing as always. Great tunes, great beer, and outstanding food in a stellar environment. Would recommend to everyone! I always look forward to coming to Ottawa so I can come here!

From the outside (and even the inside), the place may look average, but the food is amazing. They are known for their burgers, and they are amazing. The place is small and cozy and can get crowded quickly. Staff is very nice, prices are decent. Definitely worth going every once in a while for Happy Hour and enjoy a good burger.

I had fettuccine al pesto, which was very good. I'm not usually one for pesto but was in the mood for pasta and I'm glad I ordered it. The pasta noodles especially were cooked very well, soft but not mushy at all. It was very nice. The look of the place seems a bit fancier mixed with a bar type atmosphere. Lots of chatter and a jukebox playing music. It was a busy night, but we waited only around 2 minutes for a table. The server came back a few times to check in on us, the service wasn't anything extraordinary, but they did do their job as desired. I feel like the multitude of burger images here on Google don't quite give the place as much recognition for the wine and drinks menu and other items as well like pasta or main entrees. Initially we came for burgers but I'm glad it turned out otherwise. I'll come again if even just for the pasta, I really enjoyed it, thanks!

An unassuming spot. The sign says Bar, that's all. Great atmosphere, friendly patrons and servers. A shout out to the staff, despite the crowd and an extremely busy Monday, they were cheerful and handled the crowd very well. Try the grilled chicken sandwich!

We stubble upon this restaurant by fluke. We were walking by it so I decided to check the reviews before going in for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised since it didn't look like much from the outside. But the place was very busy and the food superb. I definitely recommend.
